Five vertebral bones make up the lumbar spine. The bone "shield" at the back of your pelvis is called the sacrum. Below the lumbar spine, it is situated. Under the sacrum is where the coccyx, or tailbone, is situated. Your doctor can better see the anatomy of your lower back thanks to it.
Before the X-ray image is taken, you will be directed into specific positions by our X-ray radiographer. It's crucial to follow the X-ray technician's instructions.
