Pregnancy Obstetric Doppler
Pre test Information : No Special Preparation Needed
High-frequency sound waves are used in obstetric ultrasound, sometimes referred to as prenatal or pregnancy ultrasound, to provide images of a developing embryo or fetus. The technique also checks the condition of the mother's uterus, ovaries, and blood flow to the placenta through the umbilical cord. Obstetric ultrasound data is used by your doctor to monitor pregnancy development, determine gestational age, and assist in estimating delivery dates.
Motives for a Prenatal ultrasound
Your physician could suggest that you get an obstetric ultrasound from:
- Verify implantation, fertilization, and the existence of an embryo.
- Determine whether there are one or more pregnancies.
- Calculate the due date and the age of the fetus.
- Analyze how the placenta and fetus are situated in relation to the birth canal.
- Examine the fetus's amniotic fluid levels.
- Check for congenital disorders, genetic diseases, or anomalies while monitoring prenatal development
