The amount of albumin in your urine over the course of 24 hours is measured by a 24-hour urine protein test.
Your kidneys absorb protein after filtering it from your body. Waste items leave your body as urine, which is then reintroduced into your blood. Water, in addition to several compounds, such as:

- Urea
- Creatinine
There are typical levels of these substances. You might have too much protein in your urine if your kidneys aren't functioning correctly. Albumin is another name for protein. Proteinuria is the term for having too much albumin in your urine. Microalbuminuria albuminuria is another name for it.
High levels of protein in your urine might result from certain disorders. These consist of:
