Your doctor informs you that a urine culture is desired. It is a test to see if there are any bacteria or germs in your urine that could lead to a UTI (UTI).
Your kidneys, bladder, and the tubes that deliver your faeces are all part of your urinary system (ureters and the urethra).
Most infections begin in the urethra or bladder (the tube your pee comes out of). But any component of this system could be impacted.
When you urinate, there can be a burning sensation if you have an infection. Alternatively, you can feel the urge to urinate but very little or nothing comes out. Additionally experiencing a fever or stomach ache could indicate a more serious infection.
