We believe every interaction with our patients is an opportunity!
Magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, employs radio waves and magnets to produce images of the body's internal organs. Medical experts can check a patient's internal organs using magnetic resonance imaging without performing an invasive operation. MRI uses non-ionizing radiation instead of x-rays.
What distinguishes 3T MRI from conventional MRI then?
A unit of measurement is a tesla. A tesla precisely gauges the strength of a magnetic field. 3T MRI, often known as 3 Tesla MRI, creates a 3-tesla magnetic field using extremely potent magnets.
A 3-tesla magnetic field is up to 15 times stronger than a low-field or open MRI scanner and twice as strong as a typical high-field MRI scanner. As a result, the image is more comprehensive and clearer. Additionally, compared to normal MRI scanners, stronger magnetic fields provide superior imaging of soft tissues and organs.
The quickest diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging technology currently available is 3T MRI. It is possible to send the computer-generated images for quick analysis off-site. These tests can finish up to 100 times quicker than typical MRI tests.
The fact that the exams are more comfortable than standard MRI exams is another benefit of 3 Tesla MRI. Traditional MRI scanners can cause anxiety or claustrophobia in certain individuals. For scans that don't involve the spinal cord, neck, or head, a 3 Tesla MRI offers a larger bore, or tube, and the patient's head can stay outside the bore.
